I must admit that I am not the biggest fan of gardening, but love the bounty it provides, so I tend to spend quite alot of time with my gardening gloves on. The satisfaction that comes from watching all the flowers bloom is truly rewarding, and I find myself becoming more invested in the process with each passing season. Ninety percent of the gardens are perennials, which makes it easier for me to maintain a vibrant landscape year after year without having to replant everything from scratch. I tend to focus on shades of purple, pink, and white, as they create a soothing aesthetic that brings peace to my outdoor space.
I only have red in one small garden in the back of my home, where I plant flowers that can be dried and used for decorating Christmas wreaths. I volunteer to make wreaths for the Garden Club of the Back Bay’s yearly fundraiser to raise funds to support their mission.
My house was built in 1872 as a summer home. I thought I would add a couple of pictures of it before any gardens were created on the property. If you zoom in on the first picture you will see the owners enjoying a summer day on the porch!
